Emergency Medication During Travel

Medications in foreign countries are often costly. There are issues of exchange rates and others. Add to that in countries like Africa, South America and India pharmaceutical treatments are not widely accepted, instead they depend more on local herbal and ayurvedic treatment. Pharmaceutical might be very expensive. In US there is easy availability of over the counter medicines but while traveling abroad there might not be any easy availability of a Pharmacy. In addition to that different countries have different standards for medications manufacturing, so its important that one should carry Emergency Medication kit along with during travel.

If you are ill you may not be able to travel to doctor or some unfamiliar place soon, so the emergency medical kit is effective those times.

Before you visit to some new places, take prior information about the place. Acquire brochures, books, maps to get an idea about the possible weather during travel. Importantly have the contact number of Medical Care Resources in the area. The medications should be enough to last the whole trip. If medications include insulin syringes than pack these items in the checked luggage. Be aware of the airline norms of the country.
